Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui lately has been making headlines owing to his ongoing fight with his estranged wife Aaliya. A few days ago he had filed a Rs 100 crore defamation suit against his estranged wife and brother at the Bombay High Court. In the suit, Nawazuddin alleged that both his brother Shamsuddin Siddiqui and his estranged wife have made certain misleading claims about him in the public. Now as per the latest report, the actor has sought a settlement with Aaliya.

As reported by India Today, Nawazuddin’s lawyer has sent a "settlement draft" to Aaliya's lawyer, Rizwan Siddiquee, who questioned the timing of the settlement draft. Siddiquee pointed out that “any consent drawn between the two parties would also include the withdrawal of the defamation suit, for any settlement between the actor and his estranged wife.”On March 25, Rizwan Siddiquee received a draft of the settlement which read, “These consent terms are open for discussion. The estranged couple will be appearing before the court today, March 27. The court said that the concerned parties should settle the issues between them. The report added that both Aaliya and Nawazuddin during a hearing of a habeas corpus told another bench of the Bombay High Court they are willing to put all issues behind them for the sake of their children.

Earlier, in his defamation suit, Nawazuddin Siddiqui had claimed that Aaliya used Rs 10 lakh per month he gave for their children’s education. He also alleged that before marrying him, she was already married to someone else but portrayed that she was an unmarried Muslim.
